Sustainable Management Criteria: Water Quality Degradation

SGMA requires the GSA to develop sustainability criteria for “significant and unreasonable degraded water quality, including the migration of contaminant plumes that impair water supplies ” and that is the result of groundwater pumping.

The Degraded Water Quality SMC is still under development.
